A Reformed Skeptic

rain and tree

Hi, my name is Susan and I am a reformed essential oil skeptic. Yep, that’s right. When I first heard of essential oils I thought it was a bunch of hokey. You might even be saying that now, “It’s hokey!”  Uh-huh, there, I thought so.  Well, I hate to burst your skeptic bubble but I’ll get to the point: YOU’RE WRONG!

If you have not tried Young Living Essential Oils you are missing out!

I will confess freely now: I have seen the error of my ways! I’ve been a member distributor at Young Living for about 6 months. Looking back over the last few weeks I noticed how they essential oils have become, well, an essential (excuse the pun but I couldn’t resist) and  integral part of my life. Here’s just a few of the times I have used the oils in the last month.
lemon lavender peppermint

I was attacked by an allergen which got me to coughing and while some would appreciate the gradual loss of my voice

it came with one of those headaches where your head gets so heavy you practically tip over. Yeah, one of those.

I dotted a few drops of lemon, peppermint and lavender on and within a short time my symptoms disappeared.

stress away joy peace

Don’t forget, ’tis the season, fa-la-la-la-la . . . for cra-zi-ness!

As if the holidays weren’t enough I thought I would enhance these next few weeks

by packing a kabillion boxes and put my house on the market at the same time!

Bring on the Peace and Calming in the diffuser!

And throw some Stress Away in there, too!

sad Bailey

Awww, and look at my poor puppy.  A storm got her all upset but

a drop of lavender on her collar and she was able to settle down in her bed.

Then my amazing daughter started whining about a sore throat,

a few drops of grapefruit oil along with a gargle of raw apple cider vinegar cleared up that tickle quick.

kitchen island

My non-toxic  cleaner made with vinegar, peppermint and lemon oil cleans my immaculate kitchen

without leaving a chemical residue on food prep surfaces.

toothbrush

Each time I brush my teeth the refreshing tingle of Peppermint and Thieves in my homemade toothpaste reassures me.

The list could go on and on!
Have you tried Essential Oils yet or are you still a skeptic like I was?
I’m thankful I listened.

They truly have made a difference in my life in many ways.  They are so versatile, safe to use even on children and I am done with side effects from  over the counter medications we used to take so freely. I’ve seen great results and so have lots of other people. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t tell you about Young Living and let you decide for  yourself.

  1. Enjoying my thieves! I put it on my window unit filter (air conditioner) and put it on fan to let it filter thru the room. Sometimes I will drop a drop on my hot lightbulb and turn it off the oil lingers for quite awhile. Just some hints.
