In a pondering moment recently I was contemplating some scripture out of Ezekiel the Lord had brought to my attention. To give you a bit of history, Ezekiel was a prophet who had been taken in exile to Babylon while Continue reading
Greetings from Glen Haven! Since I’ve been lax in posting over the summer I would like to bring you current on the latest events. We’ve grown tremendously, making lots of progress (hence the lack of posts) and we’re pleased with the results. Back in May we experienced Continue reading
I have a confession to make.
I failed. And I failed big.
It might even be classified as a miserable failure, but doesn’t that become an oxymoron – wouldn’t a miserable failure actually be a success? Because I didn’t succeed except at failing.
I failed to catch Continue reading
I have a special guest writer today – my great grandmother, Anna Reinhart. Anna was a Bible teacher who traveled through the south until she was killed in a car accident in 1939. Although I never met her in person, her legacy lives on in me.
I am fortunate to have Anna’s Bible
and a very few of her teachings typed out on fragile paper. But the real blessing is that Anna lives on in me. As I share her teaching with you I pray it honors her and testifies to the ongoing, unchanging love of the Father for His people.

Whew! Why am I so tired? Well, as the joke goes, I’ve just had a March of 31 days! These old bones can feel it! My last blog ended with a promise about our new additions at the farm and even though it’s taken awhile to get back with you, here we are.
I had no idea we would be growing so fast. When God spoke to me Continue reading
It’s Throwback Thursday for sure (#tbt) as the post below was originally written in 2010 but I needed to remind myself today the value of the words. I did something yesterday where I missed the mark Continue reading
I’m baaack! Farm life has kept us busy and that, combined with the idiosyncrasies of rural internet restricted my blogging for the last several weeks. Now that I have weathered the character building challenge Continue reading
Happy Monday! I woke this morning with an impression someone needed to hear this message today. So LORD open the eyes of our understanding that we may know You on a deeper level. Now, grab your Bible and join me for Continue reading
It looked to be another gray winter day as I awoke this morning. The sky was overcast and although warm sunny weather is expected this weekend it doesn’t seem to have arrived yet. As I moved about starting my day I caught a glimpse through the window of a little daffodil struggling vainly to lift its face to the almost non-existent sun. As I gasped, Continue reading
Since we’ve moved to the farm I’ve had to adjust to quite a few things, not the least of which is my quiet time with God. My regular routine at the burb-stead involved opening the back door around Continue reading
